After collaborating as a team for #creativehustlershk, Rebecca began solo projects in 2020 to explore her art style, identity and creative intention. She’s currently been experimenting with contrasts between line-drawings and detailed plant paintings, first debuting with her ‘In the Mood for Love’ mural - ending 2019 on a high note.

Considering the creative brief, ‘transportation’, research into the school community found the majority of staff and students reside between Ma On Shan and Sai Kung — developing the idea to incorporate the mountain that connects the two areas, layered with signature overgrown greenery in vintage tones.

The mural’s design features & composition aim to stimulate feelings of growth, pride, and individuality; taking visual inspiration from the scenic journeys viewed on various routes to RCHK.

The creative brief was minimal, pay homage to Bruce Lee as the lot once resided the legend himself. Rough line drawings of iconic scenes in his films were layered on a green wash background to emphasise a vintage yet lively aesthetic. Plants and stripes added in the foreground completed and balanced the composition due to its lengthy wall of 20m.

Commissioned by a private resident, this mural visualised the client’s favourite stream climbing spot in Ma On Shan and featured hidden details that symbolised special moments in their life — a silhouette of a stag can be found on a rock to represent the client’s rugby team, and subtle lion eyes between rocks for their childhood mascot.
